This is a collaborate global doctoral reading group focusing on Financial Economics of Climate and Sustainability (FECS). Corvinus University faculty and doctoral students are welcome to join the FECS program offered by leading scholars across the world. Register by 10th January, 2026 if you are interested in joining and can commit to the program schedule for attendance. This will be a self-paced online course, running for 12 weeks and will require weekly attendance of the online course. In case of sufficient number of participants, we will organise a joint in-person session every month to discuss key takeaways.
World-class professors of sustainable finance will be presenting starting 3rd February, 2026. The lineup of distinguished speakers include: Ben Caldecott, Caroline Flammer, Geoffrey Heal, Johannes Stroebel, Laura Starks, Marcin Kacperczyk, Patrick Bolton, Peter Tufano, Stefan Reichelstein, Stefano Giglio.
Each Core Session will provide an overview of the topic listed and cover 4-5 research papers. Core sessions of FECS will be taught from February 3 to April 28, 2026 on Tuesdays from 11:00-13:00 EST/EDT. Note that because of differing national practices of adoption of daylight savings times (e.g., US-Mar 8; UK/Euro-Mar 29), the time for the sessions with asterisks below may vary from the norm at your location.
